This Friday's scarf theme is 'Least Favorite Scarf'. I wish I could have passed this week, but sadly I do own one, or should I say a least favorite CW? It is the
Carré Kantha, a design I deeply love.. the only problem is that it is ..pink. Nothing wrong with pink in itself either, others wear it looking fabulous.. it's just that I don't feel 'me' wearing it. I've tried to team this scarf with a pink jacket (too sugary) with white/cream (not me) with black (the pink stands out even more) and always ended up choosing another scarf instead. To honor this Friday's theme, I went through my entire closet, trying to find a better solution. I came across this grey shift dress (it has a slight purple undertone) which I have not worn much as I've always found it a bit austere and difficult to accessorize. And voilà, a perfect match!
•
Carré Kantha, tied in a half bow knot
•
Farandole necklace

or tied in a simple knot, secured with a
Evelyne scarf ring
Next time this theme comes up, I will happily have to pass!
It's gorgeous to match pink with grey! Must say I'm loving the farandole :)
ReplyDeleteYou are right dreamdoll, the grey tones the pink down and the pink lifts the grey up, a perfect marriage. As for the Farandole, I hope I don't bore everyone to death with it.. I wear it so often that it's almost in every other pic, lol.
ReplyDeleteThe pink looks beautiful with the grey dress-great choice! and I'm so glad you no longer have a least favorite scarf. As to the farandole it is my next purchase because of it's versatility.
ReplyDeleteThank you andiamo! Farandole next, great decision :-)
ReplyDeletethis question may have been answered, but where is the scarf theme from?
ReplyDeleteandiamo, friday's scarf theme was born on scarf boards and threads. Some are public others are private. The Purseforum is the biggest public one, a fantastic place!
ReplyDeleteOh my!!!whole new world :)
ReplyDeleteSo true! The new world is flat. Let me know if you need an URL address :-)
ReplyDeleteI think that the soft pink matches wonderfully with your blonde hair. I can imagine that the scarf would go perfectly with a brown shirt too.
ReplyDeleteThank you Van <3. Brown is a great idea, will try soon!

ReplyDeleteWishing you a great Sunday too and if you are a mum yourself, Happy Mother's Day!!
MT, I love this pic, and I love Van's suggestion to wear with a brown blouse for contrast. . . and a softer pop akin to the grey :)
ReplyDeleteThank you 880. I love brown, don't know why I've never thought of it with the Kantha before! So good to have you guys x
ReplyDeleteMT....you look great. That dress hugs your body perfectly and you look so beautiful and womenly in it!!!

Hello gorgeous! Great to see you stopping by. Just thought of you today when playing with a similar cut dress and putting on a Vintage scarf as a belt..xx
ReplyDeleteEven a "non-favorite" scarf colorway looks beautiful on you! It does go well with your blonde coloring, but now that I think of it, it seems that you tend to wear other colors. I hope you will wear this combination again.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind comment lulilu and you are right, I mostly live in neutrals or add just a splash of color. But I did wear the same combo a few days ago, as I really like the dress (H&M) ;-) and the pink scarf lightens it up so beautifully.
