They are made out of exquisitely hand crafted horn and come in two sizes, petite (small) and moyenne (medium). In the past weeks (in between climbing tree tops and canoeing, lol), I've had a great time playing with the endless new looks that these beautiful rings make possible, and rediscovering my scarf drawer. While experimenting with classic techniques, I've come up with a few new knots, the 'Criss cross', 'Snowball' and 'Twilly Wrap', which I hope you will enjoy as much as I do.

Some of my recent looks...
'Twilly wrap' with a Twilly and Petite scarf ring
'Criss cross knot' with a a Twilly and Petite scarf ring
'Cowboy knot' with a 90 Carré and Moyenne scarf ring

'Criss cross' with a 70 Carré and Moyenne scarf ring
'Basic slide' with a Gavroche and Moyenne scarf ring
'Simple loop' with a Gavroche and Petite scarf ring

And a couple of how-to videos, the 'simple loop' and 'criss cross'. For both knots, fold your scarf in the basic bias fold, then proceed as shown in the video

ReplyDeleteThank you so much for all the time ,effort and flair you give to your pages.....love them all !!Amou
It's a great surprise ! (in fact, I saw a link to "scarf ring" in one of your previous post, I clicked on it, but I was disappointed : it didn't work, the message was "your are not allowed to see this blog")
ReplyDeleteAfter I saw all your wonderful looks with gavroche and twilly rings on your blog, I wanted these rings to create new looks (thanks to the Soldes last June, I have many scarfs to play with). I went to FSH store last week but I didn't find anything, so your rings are coming just in time !!! I will order them right away !
After the fur collar, it a new great item !
Wonderful ! (I am now waiting for the horn bracelet...).
ps : I love the horn, it comes with so much colors.
Congratulations on the idea and especially the implementation. Someone finally realized that there is a market for different sizes of scarf rings. I'd love to see a Shawl ring in the collection soon.
ReplyDeleteHave to say thank you here once more - I'm just so thrilled and have to share my joy all over!!! :yippie: You're simply the best! :wohoo:, <3 Macs
ReplyDeleteA shawl ring sure sounds like a good idea - or maybe even something for GMs? I'd love to see the chic knots, our dear MT would come up with for those. ;-)
ReplyDeleteDear Ann, Charlotte, Vanportrait and hair-mess, many thanks for sharing my excitement over the scarf rings, your lovely comments made my day x
ReplyDeleteDear Amou, thanks so much! So happy you enjoyed the videos et all. Your petite is on it’s way, wishing you much fun playing with your silks x
Chère Charlotte, so glad you persevered with getting to the site! So nice to hear that you are happy with the fur collar, and I hope to be able to get the scarf rings soon to you. Congrats on scoring on the soldes, you must be in silk heaven!
Dear Van, I very much appreciate your kind comment, thank you. Re the shawl ring, where is the  emoticon when you need it! ;-)
hair-mess, my dear! So thrilled to hear that you love your rings. The various pics of you wearing them are fabulous, talking about mileage for Twillys and Gavroches! It’s too hot right now to think about chic knots for shawls/GMs, but autumn is just round the corner, right? x
Dear MT,
ReplyDeleteI want to thank you for new great knots. Especially the Criss-Cross is amazing, it`s so easy and looks great. I love it!
I`m looking forward to your new ideas ... Lenka
I love your website. It is very informative. Your scarf rings look amazing... Slightly off-topic. I have a Cosmo scarf ring (the one that looks like a globe) but I don't know how to use it except looping through it. I have both 70 and 90 Carrés. Could you please give me some ideas as to how to wear it? Thank you in advance for your help.
ReplyDeleteLeslie
Greetings from Hong Kong. My scarf rings arrived in perfect condition. Took only 6 days.
ReplyDeleteThanks again, MaiTai, for another great item.
Thank you, dear Lenka. So pleased to hear you like the new knots. Have fun with your scarves and rings! :-)
ReplyDeleteDear Leslie, many thanks for your kind words re my blog. I know the Cosmo ring, but I don’t own one. I can not recall having seen other knotting photos than the one you have described, and I am sorry for not being of more help. You could take it to a H store, and ask the SAs if they know other ways with it. Good luck!
So pleased you are happy with your rings, dear Lutz, many thanks for the lovely feedback. 'LaPoste' seems to perform miracles at the moment!
Dear MaiTai, would you mind giving me some tips as to choosing the colour (honey or black)? Thanks...
ReplyDeleteDear Van, it so much depends on the color of your scarves and wardrobe. The black rings looks great with scarves that have black in them, or any color scarf in combination with black/grey/charcoal clothing. For lighter colored scarves/wardrobe, I'd go with honey. Hope this helps!
