In the past, I used to scan the scarf booklets to share here with
you, but as some might remember, this is no longer possible due to
copyright issues. I accumulated some extra copies of the current AW2012
catalogues though, allowing me to share at least with a few of you.

I've entered, fingers crossed! I love your very beautiful and informative blogs and also follow you on FaceBook. I'm using your advice on mixing patterned scarves with a patterned blouse when I fly to LA next week. Do you think I'll get upgraded to first class?...if only!
ReplyDeleteThank you for taking part in the fun and for your support via FaceBook, wishing you the best of luck! Have a most wonderful time in LA (crossing my fingers for an upgrade)!
DeleteLove your blog, too! I am wondering whether Hermes would give you permission to scan and post -- since you are such a wonderful ambassador for their beautiful products. It wouldn't hurt to ask... But, regardless, thank you for your wonderful generosity in passing them along to lucky winners! Susan
ReplyDeleteMany thanks for the lovely compliment, dear Susan. Hermès has a very strict policy regarding the protection of their copyrights, but maybe this will change one day.
DeleteWhat a great idea for the booklets!
ReplyDeleteI have this booklet, but I do have a 2 quick questions for you....do you have a recommendation on which scarves would be the best purchases for the season? Also, on your FB page, the Oct 21 post about women on the street in Paris.... Those photos just capture the quintessential French woman for me, along with yourself:) Do you have more photos of these women from a different angle? I would love to have a better view of the scarf on the woman in the top middle photo (the tan trench)...how is she tying that scarf and which one is it? All of these are such great inspiration for never giving up! A million thanks for keeping us "in the game"!!
The best scarf purchase of the AW2012 collection would be the one which makes your heart beat faster... the one you love most and which flatters you at the same time! You might find these two posts useful:

I fell in love with 'Le Laboratoire du Temps' and 'C'est la fête'.
Happy you liked the recent street style shots of Parisian women. These pics are taken within a second, and there is never enought time for a second shot, or to take another pic from a different perspective. My guess for the knot in the top middle photo is a basic bias fold wound twice around the neck, with the ends secured in a double knot. Hope this helps, good luck!
MT, you really the best blogger!! and teacher!!
DeleteI had not read your posts on choosing a scarf, so a million thanks for sharing those tips. As always, very good advice that I can use...as soon as Hermes opens on Monday :)
I understand about the photos...love the idea of wrapping the scarf twice around the neck! Very beautiful!
Much gratitude for all you do......your guidance is so thoughtful and appropriate. Take good care and best wishes for the happiest Halloween! Looking forward to your scary pictures :)
