Anneau Infinity scarf ring

I'm very happy to introduce the latest member of the MaiTai collection scarf ring family.

The Anneau Infinity scarf rings have a simple, clean and modern line, and are made of natural black waterbuffalo horn, with completely soft and smooth surfaces.

They are hand crafted by skilled artisans, and polished to a soft matte sheen. Under direct light, color variations (in the form of grey, ebony or charcoal streaks, spots or swirls) might be visible, but when worn, the appearance is distinctly black.

The techniques are easy and quick, and the resulting knots sleek, simple and chic.

Slip knot: Fold your scarf in the basic bias and place around your neck. Take both ends and slide your scarf ring towards your neck

with a 70 Carré

Variation: with a 90 Carré, scarf wound once around the neck before securing the ends

Cowboy knot: Fold your scarf into a triangle, and place around your neck (ends hanging down your front). Take both ends and slide through your scarf ring, coming from opposite directions (For 90 Carrés or larger formats in lighter silk only)

Cross slide: Fold your scarf in the basic bias and place around your neck. Take both ends and slide through your scarf ring, coming from opposite directions  (here with a 90 Dip Dye)

Variation: scarf wound once around the neck before securing the ends in the cross-slide

The Anneau Infinity scarf rings work with 90 and 70 carrés, as well as with PM Mousses, Dip Dyes,  70 Cotton Carrés and Jersey scarves.

  7. Dearest Mai Tai,
Weeee!! Another scarf ring to add to my collection! I have the petite and moyenne rings from your collection. One is in rosewood and the other in sunshine honey. They are superbe! Beautifully made, and packaged with a lovely grosgrain ribbon. Just a delight! You infuse everything with style and grace.
I am now tying a series of 90 Carrés around my casted leg. (2 more months to go) YOU have inspired me to new heights of Hermès inspired creativity!

  9. Dear MaiTai, I love your blog and admire your collection of scarves. I have a question - if you were to live with just one Hermes scarf, which one would it be?

    1. If I could only have one Hermès scarf, I would pick a 90 format. The design and colors would have to be as versatile as possible, and work with most of my wardrobe. From the scarves I own, it would probably be Quadrige, Monsieur et Madame or La Femme aux Semelles de Vent.

  12. Dear Mai Tai,

Love it! Can see a lot of ways to wear it with my scarves. Have to wait though as with my newborn it's a bit of a risk to wear any of them. But I am sure to return to your shop once the baby is more behaved :-)

    Xxx,
    Chantal
