Lavender
fields are the essence of Provence, and dried lavender flowers have
been put for centuries into small sachets to scent clothing and linen
cupboards.
Their elegant and elongated shape make them a perfect companion for the
scarf travel pochettes, giving your scarves a fresh and calming scent whether you
travel, or store them in the pochettes at home.
They
are perfect for scarf drawers and storing spaces too, and give a
wonderfully luxurious touch to precious silks and cashmeres, with the
added benefit that moths do not like the smell as much as we do.
Lavender sachets are very long lasting. To refresh them after
the first year, you only need to squeeze them a little to release the
natural oils, and you can enjoy them for years to come.
The MaiTai Collection sachets are filled with organically grown lavender, originating from fields in the foothills of Mount Ventoux in Provence. They are made from exquisitely embroidered french linen.
and come in four beautiful neutral and soft shades: rose, lilac, gris and taupe.

We must be on a psychic wavelength. I was just sorting through my enormous collection of soap, and there was my orange blossom Marseilles. Then you answered my prayers for lavender sachets. I love the long design that will more easily fit beside or behind other items. I do love shopping for myself at Christmas. ;-)

DeleteWhat a beautiful tradition, Provencal lavender fields are surely one of the quintessential
ReplyDeletesights, and fragrances of that blessed land. We in the UK also enjoy this wonderful, simple tradition ... my daughter and I have just finished our own annual tradition of making our own little lavender bags, in our case though, from English lavender. And the nice thing is that though she is a teenager now, and has other things on her mind I imagine, she still enjoys to sit down with me at the end of summer to do this. I have them in every drawer and wardrobe in my home, and would not be without them ... as you say a perfect deterrent against the dreaded moths. I look forward to your own sachets being back in stock, they look so pretty, a wonderful palette of colours which will be perfect in my home, and great for gifts. What a beautiful idea! Have a super weekend.Thank you!! s
Thank you for sharing your beautiful tradition with us, dear S! What a special memory for your daughter to treasure all her life. I love English lavender too, in fact I love all lavender!

I sometimes forget about the mousselines in the cool season, my dear CS! They lend such a delicate touch to a winter’s touch... will try remember to bring them out more often <3

Many thanks!
DeleteYour new collection addition is very nice, a nice and a sweet gift, so very much loveable. It is particularly nice to read that lavender is organically grown - I am a big fan of organic "everything", including vegetables, fruits, flowers, and follow my motto by growing everything organic in my own garden.
ReplyDeleteLove, Lea
Warm hugs from one fan of organic produce to another, my dear Lea!
DeleteCan't wait for the lavender sachets to return! Will be visiting Bordeaux soon and will try your recommendations. Thank you!

Have a fabulous time in Bordeaux!
DeleteHello MaiTai,
ReplyDeleteI am not sure what happened with my post about Paris restaurants recommendations (I can't see it anymore). We are staying in the Shangri-La hotel but we don't mind to move around the city, so far I have booked Benoit and Chez Georges...I like classic, simple French food (brasserie/bistrot style). So any suggestion from you will be much appreciated. Merci beacoup! A bientôt!
Hello, so sorry for the late reply, I am travelling myself at the moment...here a few quick suggestions: Le Train Bleu, Café de la Paix, Brasserie Flo, Brasserie Lipp, le Procope, Bofinger.. love them all! Have a fabulous time!
DeleteDearest MaiTai,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on an exquisite addition to your amazing MT Home Collection. Only you can bring together the most useful products, in their absolute best quality, and in the most beautiful forms - these is simply nothing better! You look the loveliest in both colorings of a favorite BdM mousseline - so delicate and feminine. Thank you for your sharing your many incredible talents, dear MaiTai. Much love and big thank you hugs xxx
