  5. MaiTaiCollection Collage #14 Models!!!

Thank you for the smiles and styles, great color/design, and just over the moon about the "still life" photos of the lovely & charming MTC packages w/ script taga and grosgrain ribbon.

I love the "let's wear two (90's)" look, made so nice and neat w/ the MTC scarf rings. What a great way to extend our scarf wardrobes.

And the statement necklace is reversible!!! Like 2 pieces in 1--what a deal! And, you know what the 'saying' is about Hermes handbags--as beautiful inside as outside. Well, sure can say that about the Statement necklace--as beautiful right side out, as inside out. Thank you for showing us the brilliance of this necklace. Luv that it has 2 totally different looks--gorgeous and feminine, edgy and modern.

    WoW wOw WoW !!!

    thank you all!

  7. What a breathtaking display of style, beauty, and inventiveness – by the participants here, and by creative genius behind those superb MTC accessories. Everyone just knocks me out! Still, I’ve got to add that Eva, you are a vision of otherworldly elegance in the pearl statement necklace. Irina and Julia, what glamorous stylings and exquisite pairings of scarf duos! Camilieri, you simply glow. Cecilia – what an audacious and inspired presentation of the statement necklace – very much in the spirit of Hermes at its wittiest. Johanna, even if Venice weren’t in the background, I think you’d make us all want to leap through the frame and join you: joie de vivre personified! Elna, such poise, and Monica, such pizzazz – I love the footprints in the snow.

And now we have irrefutable proof that Manuela is just as beautiful as we have been saying all along!

    1. Oh, dear Fifi, if it makes your heart sing who cares the brand! It sounds very beautiful!
Certainly not worth coughing up a hairball about...just do it!
Wishing you a joyous Easter weekend and I hope you pull the trigger on the Cartier silk!
      Calming hugs,
      Trudye

    2. Fifi, go get that panther! Buy what you love, I always say, and I happen to be in love with Cartier's panthere, and oh my, their fabulous ad campaigns.

(Ahem, cough, cough, cough . . . I have a Cartier wallet in black box calf with a silver panther curved like a "C", which forms the clasp. I love him even more than the H. wallets.)

I don't think we'll become outcasts, will we?

      Get the kitty,
      Jerrine

    4. Ooh, Fifi, I just looked at him too -- and (after about 18 million other people, literally) I just watched the Youtube version of "'L'Odysse de Cartier. Wow -- your kitty has charisma!

      Sending enabling thought waves --

    5. Ya'll, that scarf is a beauty! Love, love that add campaign, too! Lordy, I should not have looked at the website as I am head over heels for their cashmere/silk shadow Panther shawl...and the stoles! Great price point compared to H!

      Outcasts...no way!
Thank you Fifi for turning us on to these beauties!
      Here kitty,kitty,

    6. Dear Fiffi,
I've just had a look at 'your' Cartier scarf. It's very pretty and, like Trudye said, 'if it makes your heart sing' buy it!
Which is the colour you chose? I find the three colours very beautiful. Thank you for sharing your 'secret' with us. Happy Easter hugs, Manuela xx

    8. Oh Fifi,
If this wild little cat stole your heart go go go for it ! L’Odyssée is such a beauty and you brought me back 28 years ago … when my future DH offered me my very first carré, the classic one with two C , white and turquoise…
Wear it with happiness , maybe with a touch of « La Panthere » perfume!

    9. As Kendal said, here's another vote for the kitty. I think I must have him! Not only do I love kitty, but I also adore the Paris skyline, the Eiffel Tower, the Seine and the dome of the Palais Royale.

This one is just TOO good to pass up. Fif, what colorway are you craving? And, Trudye, the shawl is magnificent and a very good buy compared to H. Why does everything look like a good buy when compared with H, lol?

      Happy Monday, Swans,
      Jerrine

    10. Oh Fifi,

This was the clincher, " fell in love with .... Cartier Odyssée de Cartier."

A very wise dear soul said to me once: good for you; you followed your heart.

So if I may borrow that sage advice and pass it to you: follow your heart!

You will be radiant in that design/color!

let us know what you decide!

    11. Happy Monday LeSalonSwans,

(and LOL to Jerrine's musings about how it seems H has 'trained' us so well...that we proceed to buy other fashion house pieces!!! I find lately, I have been doing the same lately, esp. as the standard 90cm twill is almost half of 1000. Sheesh!

  26. Hello, dear ladies, and thank you for your encouragement! Jerrine and Manuela, although all three are gorgeous, my heart belongs to the blue colorway - just ordered it, woo! Yes, Trudye, that shawl is beautiful in both colors. Catherine, I am wearing Cartier Declaration today, will have to try La Panthere, as I adore perfume (kept well away from the silk of course). Azalie, thanks for mentioning the video - it is beautiful. Kendal, thanks for your vote! I feel quite naughty but will assuage my guilt by pairing it with a MaiTai scarf ring. Wishing all a lovely week--
    Warm aloha,
    Fifi

    1. Well done Fifi, many congratulations! It would be so wonderful if you could show us your treasure, perhaps in collage #15.. Have a lovely Sunday, and much fun with your beautiful new scarf x

  27. Will Fifi, we'll be Cartier kitty twins. I'm going to look at the same colorway on Saturday. The store here didn't have one, but they're flying him in for me. They're so obliging in parting me from my money!

I just can't resist the leopard paired with the skyline of Paris, though. There's something very magical about the scarf, especially in the blue. I'm sure I'll be bringing the kitty home.

    Meow,
    Jerrine

PS - Now, I want the diamond panther ring! The enticements will never end. I blame the internet. Before I could be blissfully ignorant of all the lovely things the world has to offer. Now, there's just too much temptation, and I have, sadly, little willpower to resist . . . so I won't!

  28. Dear Mai Tai (and all Picture Book regulars),

I only discovered your fabulous site recently and am already addicted. You must be madly busy but, if you have time, could you let me know why you prefer Togo for your Birkins and Clemence for your Kelly bags? All your choices look perfect.

    Kind regards,
    DK

    1. Dear DK, A warm welcome to the blog and LeSalon! Re your question, I like Clemence for a Kelly as it becomes slouchy over time, hereby giving the relatively formal Kelly a relaxed feel. For the more casual Birkin I prefer Togo. It has a finer grain, and holds the shape of a bag better. Hope this helps!
