Reader's contributions

This morning, I received a wonderful suggestion via email from Angelique:

Hello Maitai,
In reaction to yesterday's post I would like to suggest a solution for the slippery carré. I put some weight at the ends. You can also easily swing the ends back whenever the are in the way.
Many thanks for sharing, dear Angelique, this is such a great and fun idea! Thank you also for the fabulous pics. I am off to find some weights now...

I also received a wonderful how-to from Gina, answering a reader's question how she achieved the papillon knot featured in the recent 'MaiTai Collection in action' collage. Her guest post is to come soon!

Coming next: summer street style snaps, fresh from Paris...

    1. Mine are the remains of a belt. I also use a pendant or special beads with a large opening.

    1. Hmm...since I have not found perfect weights yet, making my own for the MT C might be an idea indeed ;) x

  7. I usually weigh mine down with the Mors ring horizontally, tied one side and threaded through the other. Loved the flower picture in the last post, a small piece of summer to forget the rain here!

  8. This idea is genius ! I have the Médor Twilly rings which I have never used because I find they are to heavy for the twilly ...They work perfectly for this . YAY I have finally found a use for them ;-))))

    1. Had exactly the same thought regarding my bolduc charms. And totally agreeing with our dear MaiTai; this is such a lovely community, where (thanks to the most lovely hostess :-) every one can contribute and share inspiring ideas. Also thanking Angelique, who obviously set off a spark here. xox, Macs

  11. That is a very attractive solution from Gina. I'm breaking out my jewelry making findings now to create some weights! More decorative than my own fix for the slipping scarves... for which I take a large scarf ring, put the folded scarf thru it halfway, then safety pin the scarf ring to the neck or collar in the back.

  12. A huge thank you for sharing this fantastic and brilliant idea, dear Angelique and MaiTai!! Isn't it truly remarkable how many ways one can enjoy a scarf…limitless!
Hope you're having a most wonderful week, my dear MaiTai. Sending you all my love and warmest friendship hugs xxx

  13. Dear MaiTai,

I haven't commented for a while due to too much work, but I've loved catching up on your last few posts! And I adore the new look of your blog! The line of photographs is particularly charming; I especially love the shot of the roses - aren't they ones from your garden? While we have some roses out here the weather is not very summery at all and I am warmly wrapped up while writing this.

And I second the comment of Terese above - perhaps some little weights are the next thing for the MaiTai Collection!

    Have a lovely weekend,

    Melusine x
