H it Up! Wearing two scarves as a top

Today's scarf theme is 'Two scarves' and I decided to wear my white and grey 'Chaînes et Gourmettes' together as a top. To frame the neckline, I added a bold and fun sea shell necklace.

And a pic from some time ago...I like wearing these scarves together, they complement each other so well.

  5. dreamdoll and Bonjour Madame ~ thank you for your kind comments ladies.

I do love to play with my scarves and sometimes I am astonished myself at just how many different looks one can create with them. Thank you for taking part in the journey :-)

  6. Hi, MaiTai,

This is my first time to leave a feedback here, although I have been following your blog for some weeks.

I really have to say you look terrific in these two scarves and I guess no one has ever worn two scarves like you did here before. Would you mind sharing with us how to tie them to make such a beautiful top? I am dying to know.... Thank you. :)

  7. Hi jj, thank you for your comment, I am very happy to get such lovely feedback.

The scarf top is a very simple two knot affair.. First fold both scarves into triangles and lie them side by side (the long side facing each other) on a flat surface. Secure the top ends with a small double knot and slip your neck through (bib style) Take the 'middle' ends and tie begind your waist in a double knot.

I am terrible at explaining knots in words, but will try to make a photo step-by-step within the next few days. You can also find a drawing on H scarf knotting cards, which is where I got the idea from :-)

  9. Laura, thank you for your kind comment :-) Once I've worked out the step-by-step you will see how easy it is.

JJ I just started thinking about the photos for the how-to when I noticed that I left out a vital step in my earlier description, so sorry about that! I really am terrible with word descriptions..
When the two triangels are side by side, you have to first knot them togehter bang in the middle. Try to tie the knot as small and tight as possible. Then proceed with the next steps. Good luck!

  10. This is so incredible MT! at first I thought you had somehow knotted the edges to produce a scarf necklace/ruffled effect a la elle tee. I love this look on you.
