A new scarf and a style challenge

This season it didn't take me long to find my favorite scarf... when I saw the beautiful Zebra Pegasus, I fell for it immediately. It also fulfilled the other criteria on  how to choose a scarf like a breeze, and while the neutral colored feathers match perfectly with many of my capsule pieces, the mauve/pink background adds a new dimension to my wardrobe.

Zebra Pegasus, design by Alice Shirley

Ref 002816S CW13 (vieux rose/noir/gris bleute)

Today's stylesheet playtime also coincides with styling request submitted by ilsa a few weeks ago:

I .. came home with not one, but two new scarves... Zebra Pegasus in Vieux rose/noir/gris bleute.. this design it's amazing isn't it.. and Voyage en Etoffes..

So if you are so kind, and have some time and feel like playing, your suggestions will be more than welcome!!!

Thanks again for sharing your beauty and joie de vivre with us!!!!

Regards from Barcelona

This scarf lends itself to so many possibilities, and definitely made me feel like playing! Our temperatures are still summery, but autumn is around the corner... so the style sheets reflect a bit of both seasons.

  2. I own the zebra pegasus in the bright pink colour way and really love it.

My friends H and R own it too in different colour ways so we can all be scarf triplets.

It came to Australia before it hit London which is crazy but fortuitous x

  5. Gorgeous choice. The shop assistant in my local store wears the fuchsia pink version of the Zebra Pegasus in a loose cowboy knot and it looks fabulous on her.

  7. While not a twin, I'm at least a cousin! My ZP is much more subdued in noir/bronze/brun, but I love it. The detail on the feathered wings is amazing, and it's such a fun scarf to play with, as there are so many possibilities, and each tie brings a totally new look.

Your pink version is luscious indeed, and I look forward to seeing you model it. I'm tempted - very tempted!

Like Trudye, I received my shawl pochette last week, too. As always, it's beautiful, and Trudye, good idea about using it for lingerie. I may need to order another one!

A good week to you and all your fans,

    1. Jumping for joy as we are twins on this cw of ZP! I have casually been calling it black/gold as I had forgotten the official colors! The texture of the feathered wings is what really drew me to this CW...it is stunning!
Hope you have a super week, too! T xx
P.S. I ordered two of the shawl pochettes for that very reason;-)

    2. Hey, twinsie! I love our scarf, but I goofed up a bit on the color name. I looked at the tag last night, and it's noir/bronze/marron and not brun (I think I got some German or something mixed in there. I'm hopeless!)

Those feather wings were what did it for me, too . . . but I love the zebra stripes, as well. Love stripes period!

Smart thinking on the pochettes. I may have to follow suit. I am going to take it to have my monogram embroidered on it this weekend. I think that will add a nice touch.

P.S. I actually wore a scarf yesterday for the first time since late April. So excited!

  8. I am SO in love with this Zebra Pegasus scarf! The entire outfit is lovely, but this scarf is the star. How long does Hermes keep its patterns available for purchase. I will be in Toulon,France and Monte Carlo NEXT autumn. I am sure they will have an Hermes store somewhere there. I only purchase Hermes scarves when I travel to France. It is THE souvenir I bring home. Each reflects a special trip. I may have to go on ebay to purchase a plisse though as I was in Paris last October and the lovely young woman at the St. Honore Hermes informed me that they were not made anymore. I purchased another. I am hoping that this design will still be around next year as I am so in love with it.

    1. As FauxFuchsia would say, 'run, don't walk'! Chances are incredibly slim that this design would still be available in autumn 2015. It's been printed for this season, and once the last one is sold, it is finished, at least for now. It might get re-issued in different colors in the future, but there is no way to tell if and when..

  9. I too 'almost' came home with ZP, but had difficulty folding/knotting in a way that accentuated any symmetry in the zebra stripes or brought out the colors. I would love to see how you wear this scarf and what knots you choose, please! Your fan, JG

    Replies
    1. The best knot to bring out the Zebra stripes is the asymmetrical wrap. Hope you'll like the upcoming 'playtime' post! All the best

  11. Oh, this is the colorway that's on my list! My list is so very long this season that I haven't worked my way around to actually picking it up, but I should do soon. Can't wait to see how you knot it. I think the pattern and this particular colorway are so versatile.

  16. Dear MaiTai. Sorry to comment again. Could I possibly ask a question about your black birkin with silver hardware? I just wondered what leather type you have? And is there a leather type that you would recommend? Thanks :o)

  20. I have heard that Hermes has a very good season this fall, therefore I am keeping my eyes far away from it :)
Your scarf proves this thesis! Have you maybe seen CenC Maxi Twillly in real life? I am definitely obsessed with that combo, so, if any harmonious combo out there...
The thing which is very amazing for me is how you manage to buy/combine the scarves and your patterned blouses/dresses. If two patterns put together on my side, it seems something is "sticking out" every time.
Do you think about it thoroughly ahead of purchases or it just like "happens"?
    Hugs, Lea

    1. Please, do not misunderstand me - I wanted to say that I simply do not manage to find any harmonious combo of the scarf and blouse in MY wardrobe. Of course I did not refer to yours. I am curious how you can do it in such a perfect way. I might take several travel bags with H scarves when buying the blouse next time...a joke only.
Sorry if any misunderstanding in my previous post.
      Lea

    2. Hello my dear Lea, I've seen the CenC Maxi Twillys, and they are absolutely fabulous! Re your question about patterns, I knew what you meant straightaway <3 I don't think ahead of most purchases, and there are only very few occasions where I've bought a top or dress to match a particular scarf. All recent pattern combinations were 'lucky pairings'.. I think the success is all to do with color... once there is a similarity between the scarf and clothing, it all seems to come together. Hugs x
