Spring shopping ~ Neutrals: part one

Over most of Europe the temperatures do not indicate spring yet, but in my wardrobe, it has already started.. I recently added a couple of new capsule pieces and shoes, which bring a fresh breeze, and are also easy to mix and match with my existing staples. I already tried a few new combinations, and look forward to exploring further.. providing there will be some sunshine to match! And since I am often asked where my capsule pieces come from, I'm so pleased to have found online references and shopping links for all of them.

    1. Thank you, K! So many of my capsule pieces were bought a long time ago, or from places without online references/shopping. I was so happy to find the details for all the pieces this time!

  3. Thanks for this post! I just went online to order the Castañer espadrilles. The doctors tell me I should be able to walk by July,(starting the dreaded physical therapy regime next week) and they look so comfortable, yet chic.
It was 82 degrees here in Philadelphia. 20 degrees above the norm. Tomorrow is predicted to be 85 degrees...so this post has me dreaming of summer!

  5. Dear Maitai,
Gosh, you really know how to utilize wardrobe items! I do so like your oatmeal colour cardigan... Hope we may see this classic cardigan in other capsules. I have been avidly researching your winter weather sheets, but with my unseasonably hot weather can make do with your neautral style sheets. Thanks !
    best wishes, Mandy.
P.S (Shock!) But where is your scarf ?! ;-)

    1. Love the cardie too, and could not resist getting it in the rust color as well. The cut is perfect, and it will definitely be part of future capsule wardrobe posts (it also works beautifully with many of my scarves). Enjoy a cosy winter ahead!

  7. Liebe MaiTai!

  12. Beautiful post, my dear MaiTai, proving that style doesn't necessarily mean that you must spend a lot of money in buying clothes every time but rather be good at combining what you already have with new pieces.

Needless to say that you have so much style that even with cheap and insignificant clothes you would still shine on:)

I love your oran sandals in bronze!!! Wishing you a great remaining week and blowing a gros bisou to you <3, Mxx

  16. Dear MT today i try to resrve the bronze sandals in my 40 size but to my opinion it's already too late! With an Eres bathsuit and pareo for lunch at pool side hum so chic! For the clothes obliged to wear ballerines with a form for feet....difficult to have nice shoes but Chanel are large enough! Or even more simple ones. With H shoes leather too hard such a good quality! Spent a womderful week end to Aquitaine, all my best and warmest regard. monica

  17. absolutely love this look! such a fresh way to wear the raincoat & scarf and i think if it was chilly one could always wear boots too. I am only 5.4 and was wondering if you honestly think I could try a similar raincoat or if it would overwhelm me. thanks for the inspiration!

    1. Happy you like the look! If you are generally comfortable wearing a knee length coat, then a similar coat would probably work well with your frame. The best way to find out, is to try a few in a store. Good luck!
