Before getting into the post ...
If you bought a MaiTai bag insert in the past and you love your purchase, I would appreciate it so much if you could take a moment to rate it. It does not have to be long; a sentence or two would already be wonderful. If you fill out this form, I will send you a review request for the purchase you made.
The customer feedback section on my site is relatively new, and getting reviews is painfully slow, as typically only a tiny percentage of customers leave them. This is hardly surprising, given the sheer number of requests we all get inundated with these days. I'd therefor appreciate your support all the more. Thank you so much in advance!

From the beginning of autumn, we love going back to our favourite beach club. Once the summer heat has softened into a mild été indien and most visitors have gone, the atmosphere becomes calm and relaxed. The beach is tranquil and nearly empty, except for a few locals playing with their children or dogs, or going for walk.
I usually take my Goyard Saint Louis PM or Dior Book Tote to carry the boys' paraphernalia. The Goyard is extremely light-weight and relaxed, whereas the Book Tote is more structured and a little dressier. Both are perfect for the beach!
These fabulous loafers are from a small French brand called Nomasei (no affiliation/ collaboration/paid advertisement). They are wonderfully comfortable and work with both gold and silver jewelry (the hardware is a pale gold color, even though in the picture it looks more like silver). You can see a more accurate picture here (I just saw they are now on sale)

Firefighter pilots practice scooping up and dumping down drills over the Mediterranean Sea, it was quite a show!

The mild autumn temperatures and nature's breathtaking color spectacles make our daily walks an absolute delight!
The little farm building in the photo below is called a mazet. In the old days, farmers used it to escape the afternoon heat for a nap, store their tools, or take shelter during storms. Today, most of them stand empty and abandoned. They’re almost always set in the middle of fields, and whenever I walk past one, I fantasise about transforming it into a summer kitchen surrounded by a vegetable garden, or an artist’s studio or writer’s den with a few olive trees dotted around. One day, perhaps?
It isn’t hard to read Wiener’s mind… ‘If I can’t get to your lap right now, there will be consequences!’”

Sunbathing is one of the boys' favorite activity, they take it very seriously. Soon the house will be transformed for the festive season; I can't wait to start the decorations and am counting the days to December 1st!
Have a wonderful and happy time preparing for the holidays xxx

Thank you for another lovely post! I hope you will have some inspiring holiday posts as you have had in past years. Always a cheerful read with inspiring photos.
ReplyDeleteI hope your new shoes are a success. I have difficulty finding shoes with a roomy toe box. So hard to find shoes that are delightful to look at and accommodate walking!
Thank you for the lovely comment! I've been breaking them in during a recent trip to London, and am happy to say that they are very comfortable and have plenty of space for the toes. Will do my best to do a Christmas inspired post, although this is always the busiest time of year!
DeleteI agree with "Anonymous" Always inspiring reading about your impressions from your travels. The dogs are a treat too
ReplyDeleteThank you, Agneta! Hugs from one dog lover to another xx
DeleteI do enjoy your posts so much. You always share such beautiful places and style. Thank you💗
ReplyDeleteThat is so lovely to know! Thank you so much for taking the time to comment 💕
DeleteLooking fabulous as you meander through Autumn in your new loafers! I am aware of that brand and you wear it well! I love supporting these small, female owned companies!
ReplyDeleteOk, Weiner really, really knows how to cast a side eye! Your boyz are too cute!
Wishing you a most lovely, not too stressful, run up to the holidays! Mwahs, Txx
Thank you, Darling T! So great to know that the brand has gathered awareness; they do make fabulous shoes and boots. Wiener sends you a kiss, he senses that you have a soft spot for him! Have a wonderful start into the festive season! Mwahs right back xx
DeleteI most definitely do have a soft spot for Wiener and his brother! Treats for all! Txx
DeleteAlways lovely to see your posts and I love your new shoes.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the kind words! Love the shoes, too :)
DeleteAs always, fabulous photos of you and your babies. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteAww ... the babies! It's impossible to take a bad picture of them, they are always so sweet. Thank you so much!
DeleteDearest Taina, I know, that I'm really late. But I wanted to give you a sign of life... My life has changed a lot since I had a serious car accident last year, my father, whom I cared for many years, passed away, and I have now changed my job. But one thing has not changed: I love your pictures, your reports, your experiences. They help me get through a lot! Thank you so much for that! Liebe Grüße Claudia
DeleteDearest Claudia, I am so sorry to hear about the difficult and sad times you have been through. I hope you have fully recovered from the accident, and sending my heartfelt condolences on your father's death. It is so very hard to loose a parent. I hope the next year will be bright and happy, and filled with many beautiful moments. Wishing you a wonderful Advent and Christmas season. Ganz liebe Grüße, Taina
DeleteDear MaiTai, J
ReplyDeleteust coming back to re-read your post and to make an additional comment about the lovely scarf. The size so much reminds me of the Hermes Maxi Twilly which they don't produce currently. I enjoy having scarves and shawls of different sizes Blue and white are a color combination I so enjoy as it reminds me of the colors of the sky and water. The scarf looks lovely on you and thank you for including the link so it is possible to get more information. I hope the wool is comfortable and not scratchy. Scarves and shawls are such easy temperature regulators and can add a bit of flair to basics. Although, all of your basics are quite lovely!
I do hope you have the time to post at least once about the holidays. You always have such lovely, thoughtful and inspirational posts.
All the best! --Carolyn
Dear Carolyn, Thanks so much for the lovely comment. I love blue and white color combinations too, they're always so fresh and uplifting. The scarf is wonderfully soft and light, but I have pulled a few threads already. I have another 70cm stole by Inoui and it is the same. Maybe because I let the dogs sit on my lap ... they certainly don't "baby" my scarves. Inoui's square GMs in wool are very sturdy, and I haven't had an issue with pilling or pulled threads.
DeleteChristmas posts are always a little complicated, as I don't bring in the tree before the 23rd, and I don't think anyone wants to see an Xmas post after the holidays. I will try and pull something together over the weekend, but can't make a promise.
Merry Christmas and happy holidays!
