Market day ~ two

Today is Saturday and as we often do, we went to the local market. The Asparagus season has started and there was just about enough left by the time we got there...

Queuing outside my favorite bakery for a baguette.

It was a lovely spring day and we went for a stroll through the pretty little streets. Sometimes we stop for coffee at friends who live in town. I love market days!

  1. That town is so beautiful. It is like a storybook. You have inspired me to go to the farmer's market today.

  5. I linked into this page from the Sept. 2, 2010 post and grabbed my husband over and told him to take me there! You're pictures really depict the atmosphere of southern France.

  7. I'll save my money and if DH ends up in Barcelona for the telecommunications conference, I'll let you know. Hope you are up to eating and sightseeing (beyond Hermes). Okay, I do admit to dreaming of the lavender fields!

  8. Great plan, dear S! Best time for the lavender fields is beginning to mid July. I seem to remember that the conference took place in February a couple of years ago.. but there are plenty of fun things to do in winter too :)

    1. And I am still wearing these items! Sometimes with black pants too. Hope the rain will make way for a beautiful and golden autumn soon, have a lovely weekend!

  10. I have just invested in a lovely pair of tan boots with a heel, but struggling to think what to match with apart for winter white cords tucked in boots or under jeans

    1. Congrats on your new boots, they sound fabulous! You could team them with jeans in any color (black, beige, blue etc) and a camel sweater or cardie, or go tone in tone with cream and tan tops and bottoms. Or color block (chose a top and bottom in the same color, for example black, blue, brown, bordeaux, charcoal etc), and then add accessories (scarf, bag, belt, fur collar or bracelets etc) in tan or camel, to pick up on the color of your boots. Hope this helps, have fun experimenting!
