Vintage Hermès in Saint-Germain, Paris

With the continuing worldwide shortage of leather goods chez Hermès,

entering this tiny little boutique in Saint-Germain almost feels like a mirage...

I even spotted an identical twin to my 32 Kelly in ebene Clemence (middle shelf, 5th from right)

Owned by Catherine B, the 'Les Trois Marches' specialises in vintage Hermès and Chanel. The prices are above retail, but the selection is amazing. You can find rare pieces, classic Kellys and Birkins in discontiued leathers and colours, or bags which have been special ordered by their previous owners

The scarves on display represent just a small part of the available stock

and a specific request might just produce the design you were looking for.

The stock varies from pre-loved items with patina to almost brand new.

Mr Catherine B

It was wonderful to see such an amazing collection of vintage Hermès, and the red croc Kelly in the window display was simply breathtaking!

  2. When I visited last winter, I was surprised by how beautiful some of the pieces are there--although the scarves sometimes show fading from UV light along the folds. The piece that stole my heart was a mint rouge Jige. It was gorgeous.

    1. The eye candy was truly stunning. No idea what the markup is, but my twin Kelly was quite a lot more than what I paid for it in 2007. Saw a beautiful Medor clutch, and got very tempted! It did not come home with me though. Happy orange hugs right back xx

  7. Dear Tai
    What a wonderful looking shop- I will have to look next time I am in Paris.
    Slightly off topic, but I was buying tea from a store in Paris online yesterday and I found this;

    I couldnt help smile as I was wearing my La Femme scarf at the time! I have it in a pale yellow so it is a summer time scarf for me.

  18. I know this is an old post - but going through all of them systematically - so informative. As an Hermes connoisseur - what do you think of the kelly pochette (the brown one) in the photo? Any inspired outfit suggestions?

    1. So nice to hear you are enjoying the back posts too! Re the Kelly Pochette, I think it is absolutely adorable. I would team it with rich and warm neutrals, such as chocolate, camel, beige or cream, and add chunky/stacked gold jewelry.
