  1. Dearest Mai Tai,

    What a wonderful post!!!
I do hope that I soon can be twins with you and part of the lovely Zebra club! :-)
This scarf is really beautiful! I specially love the criss cross bow knot, the cowboy knot and to wear the scarf as a top!
It looks amazing with the TB's tunic too!!!!
I hope I'm lucky in finding it.
Congrats on your new necklaces! They are as pretty as the previous ones. I am so fond of all mine! <3
The new pochette is lovelly anf I wait impatiently for the arrival of new organizers.

Thank you for all the time, energy and love you put into your blog, my dearest Mai Tai! Very big hugs, Manuela

  2. Hello again, my dear!
Could you please tell me the colour of your long cascade wrap seen in the picture? Is it grey? Thank you. Manuela xx

    1. Dear Manuela, I'm hoping that the ever-gracious Mai Tai won't mind my popping in to say that that the wrap color is French Grey. This season it is available in the Mid Cascade length, which should work beautifully for many of the ladies here. But some of the taller ones would be thrilled to pieces, I bet, if Mai Tai could wave her magic wand (or use her back channel connections) to persuade Kettlewell Colours to reintroduce the Long Cascade wrap in this lovely color in a future collection. Wishing you great luck in capturing a zebra of your own! With warm regards -- and, as always, grateful admiration for these splendid posts,
      Azalie

    2. Dear Azalie,
Thank you for popping in with the information about the wrap's colour.
I am delighted to 'hear' that it is now available as a mid cascade wrap, the perfect size for me.:-)
I am a fan of The Kettlewell Colours and will definitely order more items from them.
Thank you, once again. Warm regards, Manuela

  3. The colors are so beautiful I can hardly stand it! Amazing how good the scarf looks with your tunic. I've learned a lot about mixing patterns from you, dear MaiTai! Your MaiTai collection is expanding but you never skimp on quality. Brava!

  5. Thank you for this straightforward lesson titled "How the pink becomes neutral".
And stays vivid at the same time.
One more story about the patterns matched together like simphony...

Well, it seems it is right that playing piano is simple. Just press the right button in the right moment. Enough to say most people cannot play it, although it is "so easy".

Looking forward to the MT collection news!!!

    Hugs, Lea

    1. Beautifully put, dear Lea.. a neutral pink, and yet vivid...it's a fabulous scarf.

Re patterns..I don't play the piano, but I imagine it comes down to practice and trying, much like mixing prints ;)

Hope you'll enjoy the news to come x

  6. I admit I was not terribly interested in Zebra Pegasus... until I saw all the wonderfully creative approaches you used here. I had no idea that the pattern would "pop" in so many different ways! Once again, as always, you have taken me by surprise. I look forward to your posts... they always make me want to try something new with my carrés. Regards, Elaine

  11. I love how you styled it! I think it is a marvelous scarf and got it in the burgundy and am tempted to get it in your choice and perhaps a khaki!! Isn't it just so versatile?

    1. Welcome to the our Zebra club, dear CSW! I haven't seen the khaki yet.. it might be perfect for Veroniqué (she looks for a warm toned CW, without color clashes). Would you mind sharing the reference? Merci!

  12. Well, I knew that whatever you did with it would be wonderful, but I love the scarf with the print tunic and the long wrap, which makes you look even taller and slimmer if that's possible.

The scale of the tunic's print is perfect with that of the scarf, not to mention the colors playing off one another so well. This is true talent, ladies. Mixing patterns can either be sublime or an unmitigated disaster!

And, (pant . . . pant; hope . . . hope), is there a chance that a Kelly 32 insert is on the soon-to-be released list? Please say yes; please, please, please.

    1. Awh, my dearest Jerrine, you render me pink again...my face is starting to blend in with the border of the scarf! The Kelly 32 insert is in the final protoype stage... it needs a couple more tweaks and changes, but should come out very soon! The colors will be the same as in the lavender sachets and linen carré and shawl pochettes :)

  20. Dear Mai Tai, I just recently discovered your blog and want to thank you for all the wonderful posts. Because I have to wear extremely boring clothes for work (mostly black and gray suits), your beautiful scarf ideas have inspired me to build an Hermes scarf wardrobe which has made it a pleasure to dress in the morning. And the scarves make it easy to dress casually too! I just put on my plain old tops and pants and, voila, a beautiful scarf makes me look put together. Thank you, thank you! It's amazing how this has made such a difference in my life!

    1. Dear Annie, some years ago I made the same experiance: while a seminar the professor told me to wear silk scarfes to complete my (boring) suits. I took the proposal but didn't know how... Than I "found" MaiTai and she opens me a wonderful land. It's interesting how the view changes, when someone (like MaiTai) shows capably. Best wishes Claudia
