Sparkling spring

This year, spring has begun with a sparkle, and not just because of the crystal blue sky we've had this week.

There is no lovelier way to say goodbye to winter than to be outside and soak up spring's first warm rays of sunshine, whether for a walk or a cup of coffee with a little something.

Wearing a 'Zebra Pegasus' 90 carré in an Asymmetrical Wrap

The earrings and bracelet are made by hand from facetted crystal beads and stainless steel twisted wire. They add an instant glamorous touch to a casual daytime outfit, or turn a simple wardrobe piece into a sparkling evening look. For summer lunches or evenings, wear with a simple tunic, light shirt or dress.

Wearing a 'Chaînes et Gourmettes' 70 carré as a necklace

I couldn't be happier with the Cos top I bought in Paris earlier this year.. despite many outtings, it still looks like new (amazingly enough, it is still available online on Cos' US site and French site)

Have a most wonderful and happy spring and Easter everyone xx

  1. I have placed my order, but could I please add the following:

    1. One swan-like neck
    2. One flawless complexion - roses and cream please.
    3. One pair of "those" MT legs, extra long will do nicely.

Can customer service handle this order? Please advise.

MT, the earrings (and bracelets) are lovely and well worth waiting for. What fun they'll be to wear to a party when a bit of festive sparkle is called for. Great to travel with, too - carefree and chic and lightweight. Perfect!

Oh, that reminds me. Can I please add one Paris/Provence social life to the above order?

    Merci, merci et bisous,
    Jerrine

    1. Hmm, Jerrine, did you clean out the dove grey ones? Because they're sold out, waaah! I want one of those swan-like necks, too! Hugs!
      Nice cool aloha,

      LOL! T xx

    4. No, Fifi, this time I was not my oinkish self. I did not clean out the dove grey's you have your heart set on (they would be stunning on you.)

I ordered the white as a gift for my boss' daughter who will be a bride in August. I thought that they'd be perfect with the gown she selected, and when I showed them to her, she flipped! So, an order was placed.

I'm undecided on a pair for myself. The hair has got to grow out, and I am awaiting my swan neck order!

They're so pretty, though, and I may go for the mocha/bronze for myself. Another big hit, I'd say. She never misses, does she.

Keep sending those cooling thoughts, my dear,
      Jerrine

    5. Oh, I feel you on the hair growing out, dear Jerrine! Mine is finally close to shoulder length although volumizing has sadly become a priority as the years pass. I can see those earrings working with short hair and long as well. And mocha bronze would be lovely on you!

    6. Dearest Jerrine, you are the main reason I'll never stop blogging...I'd miss your comments too much! Customer service has been working enthusiastically on your order, but I can still see them running up and down the shelves looking for legs and necks. The last item is easy, just hop on the next plane <3 Much love and have a great Sunday xx

I love the clean lines and fabric durability too! I wish that the Uterque line was available here. They have some interesting designs as well. Have a stellar week and keep on shining!

  7. The sparklies are so pretty, dear MaiTai! And the earrings are clip-on which means I can wear them! Thanks for making them light-weight, which solves one of the problems I run into frequently, wearing clip earrings. The only problem is, what color to choose? You are really a master at mixing warm and cool tones, so each color ends up being quite versatile. What a fun dilemma! Can't wait to see what the other Swans are going to order!
    Warm aloha,

    3. How kind of you to ask! I did well, but not as well as I wanted to, so there's plenty of room for improvement at a race in just a few weeks!

Hope you had a lovely Easter and are enjoying selecting which color of earrings you want! Don't keep it a secret...

    4. Thank you, dearest Fifi! My earlobes are ridiculously sensitive, so I'm over the moon that the earrings turned out feather light.. finally I can 'sparkle it up'! Hope you had a lovely Easter, and have a great remaining weekend.

  15. Dear Mai Tai and your swans's club.
In all my readings of blogs, I NEVER saw so much followers "in love" or such in admiration of you MT. You are the queen of their tastes in any choice you make. My congratulations, really you are a Maître à penser (sorry I am French) i dont know how to say it in English and your fan club is really too sweet and agreable to read, I didnt know that such enthousiasm can exist nowadays . These persons are exceptional to be so proud to know you.
Once more sorry for my English. I live in North of France and because of my language, I never comment when it is in English. But, I cannot resist to tell you how seldom it is, to read that from followers.

  16. Dear Danielle,
As an old follower of Mai Tai´s Picture Book I felt flattered of course reading your post, where you praise us followers calling us exceptional. However I guess the reason why we are "excepctional" and so "in love" with this blog is the blogger herself. Very seldom can you meet a person who is so beautiful, so kind and generous, with so much grace, elegance and creativity as our very Dear Mai Tai. Bonne journée! Manuela
