Venice week #8

The l'heure bleu is the time of day I love most, the sky is luminous and velvety at the same time. In Venice, the blue hour is beyond beautiful, it is magical.

Crossing the Canal San Marco again, but this time in the evening, for dinner. The jetty for the shuttle is conveniently located next to Harry's bar and has a telephone where you ask for a boat to come and pick you up.

Capsule pieces: black cropped jacket, tank top and jeans
Shoes: black/silver Roger Vivier patent pumps
Accessories: Kelly Dog bracelet in black croc

An arrival to remember...

drinks at the Gabbiano bar, Cipriani

followed by dinner at Cip's Club

Back home for a nightcap with a view

Gabbiano bar and Cips Club restaurant at the Cipriani

No harsh lights, neon advertising or traffic noises.... instead just beautifully illuminated buildings and streets, and all these amazing shades of blue. It could not have been a lovelier evening in any way. Bubbly toasts right back, and have a most happy weekend! xxx

I love Cipriani's (I previously stated that I had never explored Giudecca, but now I realize that I have!) What a perfect venue for dinner and romance!
The travelogue is ending soon? Dear Mai Tai, your mission, should you choose to accept it( a la Mission Impossible) is to travel often and well, and to share it all with us!!

  12. Magic - cannot find better words out there for the scenes you put together.
Besides beauty of Venice itself and obvious nice mood you radiate - I am always thankfully thinking about amount of work and talent involved in creating your magic posts. It can be seen from each post that they were put together with great care and attention and I am truly impressed with it.

  13. Maitai!
"L'heure bleue" is such a pretty expression! To express the same idea, I like "entre chien et loup"... I'm in awe of your last post: the light is magic indeed and you look ethereal... It even looks like the climate was ideal: not too cold, not too hot... Just the right excuse for a beautiful new shawl! Would love to see a post dedicated to your new addition: I'm thirsty for its colours!
    Have a great weekend,
