  3. I am fascinated by your colour-combining capability, you never fail to coordinate colour and shapes!
Your skirt looks like one of those "hugging skirts" in which one feels so comfortable and relaxed and we automatically grab them when combining the outfit.

  5. This skirt is so pretty on you. I really like the length. And the colors are fabulous. I wouldn't have thought of combining them but they look magnificent. Your inspirations are everywhere and you have such an eye seeing them and translating them into beautiful combinations. Are the tights dark brown or black? Also love the Roger Vivier shoes. Fabulous!

  7. I love that your sweater has introduced spring as well. Very versatile. Love this outfit and the bow tie arrangement is my favorite. You look like you are pointed to fall with a farewell to summer. Captured transitional dressing nicely.

  8. Dear MT, love your sense of style, classy, understated elegance, grace and effortless chic. <3 I wonder if you could share some of your beauty tips, or the list of make up/beauty products that you use as well? You always look so lovely and well put together, with flawless make up and hair. I love this lipstick/blush shade on you - gives you that natural glow, barely there make up look which is so polished and refined, perfect for daytime and ladies of all age. Best regards, as always.

    1. Many thanks for the request, this will be a great blog post one day. In the meantime, here are the basics. For skin care, I use fairly inexpensive french pharmacy products. The lipsticks and blushes are usually a combination of several colors... I have a palette of blushes, and swish the brush over two or three shades before applying it to the face. For the lips, I use a soft liner to fill the lips entirely, and then apply lipstick on top. I find this gives a deeper and more interesting result than just applying lipstick on it’s own. Re brands, I don’t really care (apart from foundation... I love Laura Mercier and Bobby Brown) as long as I like the color and quality (cheap brands are often just as good as expensive ones).

    2. Thank you so much, dear MT! Looking forward to it. I could of imagine that you would relay on simplicity, quality and natural approach to skin care, rather than go for hyped brands and trends.

  16. I look better in trousers but how you look glam. in a skirt! Your H. scarf, as always, adds a sophisticated touch. Love the colors !
I know the H. label says Dry Clean Only but I believe many Hermes scarfies won't dry clean their precious Hermes treasures.
As a request Madame Maitai, may I ask how you launder, wash or dry clean your Hermes scarves ? :)
    Cheers and best wishes, Mandy

    1. I prefer trousers as well, but it’s fun to occasionally wear a skirt. Re cleaning, if the scarf has non greasy stains, or just needs freshening up, I hand wash it in cool to lukewarm water with a little bit of mild detergent. The key is to keep the scarf moving, and never let it sit. Rinse, rinse, rinse, and let dry between two fresh towels. Iron will still slightly damp, and avoid ironing over the hand-rolled hems. Anything with a greasy stain I’d bring to a dry cleaner. You can always ask your local Hermes store to recommend a good one (remind them not to iron over the hems!). Happy laundering!

  22. I must say something (although tried not to).
When I was a kid, it was my habit to wait for my mom when coming home (from any trip, from work, from her friend - the only important thing was the return itself).
Namely, then I asked her always:"Have you brought anything for me?", in anticipation of anything new, any gift, etc.
So...now...have you brought anything for us? :)
    Best,
    Lea

    1. Oh these sweet childhood memories! The joy of being reunited with the beloved parent, and then the anticipation of a little gift. And of course I brought things too.. pictures of Paris and the current windows at FSH, and a couple of extra surprises! xx

    2. Same experience with my dad and his often very exotic travels. One of the regular treats were those small shower gels/shampoo bottles. They made the best foam for bubble baths. :D Anticipating those pics almost as much as I was looking forward to see your curry outfit. Wouldn't be surprised if you outdid yourself once again! :D many hugs, Macs PS: I was truly stunned by your chic look - simply Maitailicious!
