H it up ~ mixing prints

Mixing scarves with busy prints is often more than tricky, but it does work sometimes.. when colors and patterns correspond. Seeing this dress I thought immediately off my Belles du Mexique Mousseline Carré, not only because of the color scheme, but imagining how well the light and airy butterflies would go with the floating and twirling dancers. It turned out to be a perfect match, it almost feels as if they are dancing together..

H it Up!

  9. its been the same again today!! one minute rain then gales then hot sunshine - ive not been out just around the garden with doggie going out tonight for dinner and hope it settles! did you live in england?? if so, whereabouts?? I did think you may of lived in Chelsea perhaps?? a real wild guess to be honest but you are so sophisticated and appreciate many nice brands that they have in Chelsea?

  10. Hello MaiTai - What a lovely combination -they really complement each other and add a richness and sophistication one to the other with you, as always, the elegant "centerpiece". Speaking of weather, we just went, very quickly, from gloriously sunny and breezy to heavy rain. Seems the theme fo the "summer" in many places this year! Going into H on Monday for my scarf tying session - so exciting!

    Enjoy your weekend.

Maisie, thank you for your kind comment and yes, sunshine and rain makes it tricky to dress! Have a great time on Monday, looking forward to hearing how it went!

  12. Good guess then! I love Chelsea, my hairdresser is there and I like the shops - Balance on Kings Rd is great too and of course its nr H and Harrods!!my friend lives on Beaufort St and I used to stay at Wyndham just nearby - I now stay at Jumeirah Pont St(cheaper taxi wise!). Enjoy the warm weather in France - we are lacking it here at 20c!
