How to wear a scarf with patterned tops - part three

In part three of the recent reader's style challenge (how to mix scarves with patterned tops) the focus is on harmony, therefor I chose capsule pieces and accessories in accordance with the colors of the printed tunic.

featured scarf: Hermès Coaching 70 Carré

Capsule pieces: white jeans and printed tunic
Shoes: suede sandals
Accessories: Hermès Picotin bag in rubis
Scarf: Hermès ‘Coaching’ 70 Carré worn in a criss-cross knot

Wishing everyone a happy Memorial Day!

All three variations:

  1. Ok, you are blowing me away, again! Who knew one patterned top could have so many options with the scarves,MT collection and H all the way around? You even managed, which I knew you would, to showcase your new RV pumps. These are not simple looks to put together, yet you manage with ease! You look stunning in them all! Big hugs, T xx

  2. Oh, I love the way that you've put the colors together in such perfect harmony! This look is the one that I feel comfortable trying first, and then I'll move on to the other two styles. In the US, we call it "baby steps". LOL Adding Ms. Picotin in rubis is just the right amount of a punch of an unexpected color. (I would have selected blue, but the rubis is quite a striking and attractive selection) Beautifully done (as always), dear.

    Warm hugs,
    CS

  3. Love this look in particular, the white jeans exude some much needed "cool" and I so agree with the previous poster about the punch of colour; a bag in a bright contrast colour brings this cool and calm outfit to life.

  4. Oh MaiTai, you are teaching me a whole new field of vision. I love the way you start with a desired out come - in this case harmony. Thanks for opening us up to many ways of seeing harmony. And the design of your new blog is super!

  6. Oh, allow me to clarify, on the previous post when I wrote that I would have selected blue, it was because of the color of your blouse, but the rubis is the better selection to bring the right amount of an expected pop.

    Lovely new header, dear.

    Warm hugs,

  9. Hi!

Can you please tell me the difference between
The Hermes knot cards volume 3 and 4?
Are the pictures different and are the ways of
    Tying them different?

The same for the older volumes?
    THANKS!!!

    1. Each set of knotting cards features the scarves of the respective current collections, so no set has the same cards as another. Also, the knots vary, there is always something new, or a different take/styling idea on previously shown knots.

  11. I am so glad I have come across your blog. There are many ways in wearing scarf but it is a bit tricky when patterned scarf is partnered in a printed top, but I'm glad you pull it off nicely. Thanks for the idea!
