Guest post

Today's post is the wonderful result of a joint production of sammie, Azalie and Kendal. A huge thank you to the 'fabulous three' for sharing your beautiful interpretations of the green style sheets, and an extra big merci to sammie for putting this post together and for producing such a fantastic slide show (please click on the links below) to go with each stylesheet and look.

Handing over to sammie:

Green.   It's the color the human eye sees first, at 525 nanometers. It's where this story begins. All inspired by MaiTai's green style sheets.  Azalie styles 'Oleander' and 'Trumpets' by making it her own with a brim.  Kendal styles 'Satory' and 'Dendrobium' with a slim skirt to make it her own looking trim.  Sammie styles 'Vosges' and 'Flore' with two 90cm silks squares to make it her own in with a Boho grin.  Come join us on our green limb!

    1. Dearest Catharine...

      LOL + mwahs to you!!!

I do love my green silicone spatula to bits...and my apron! As soon as I saw MT's style sheet #6, knew right away it I could fit right in w/ those servers of Cafe de Flore (I think) w/ my apron and spatula...just a little more stylish though w/ that 'touch of H', as Mr. Jean Louis Dumas mentioned in an interview.

So glad u got a LOL outta that!

      : )

  3. "Fabulous three," indeed! Ladies you all look very, very chic, and big kudos to sammie for the inspiration and all the hard work.

I'm so glad to finally know how that green spatula fits in! And, I love the Grecian goddess look, sammie. Of course, I still love the green H. sandals that inspired all of this to begin with, as well. They look great on your feet.

Well done you three; well done.

All the best to our three fashion plates,
    Jerrine

PS - Going back to run the individual slide shows again. Wow, this is more fun than going to the movies!

  8. Thumbs up, dear Salon swans! What a beautiful interpretation of MaiTai's exquisite style sheets. I'm deeply impressed by the imaginative names for the sheets - well done! If I should ever come across green sandals this summer, I'll pick them up just for the fun they seem to give! Yes, green is THE colour and needs to find its way into my wardrobe...Chapeau also for the great layout - MaiTai, you are not only a style genius, but also a perfect teacher who gives inspiration to others.
Have a wonderful lush green May!

  11. Dearest MaiTai, MANY thanks to you for the wonderful stylesheets that led to so much fun (and for the expert and perfectly user-friendly way you have staged them here), to the effervescent and talented sammie for making it all happen, and to warm-hearted and generous Kendal, who has a great sense of style, legs that won't stop, and just the kind of personality you would imagine based on that glowing smile!

Blowing kisses to you all --

  12. Love, love, love!

One of the reasons I read this blog faithfully is for the style nudges it gives me to move out of my fashion ruts. Now I'm inspired to add more green, which my yoga friend assures me indicates growth.

Thanks for the ideas and the great post!

    1. dear Greta,

Green really is the first color the human eye detects! I love it because it's a color of life and vitality...and it lead to MT's green style sheets, which have been a blast to prepare and anticipate the response.

go green Greta!!! (in small doses, just a touch, and big smile is most important ingredient)

  13. I'm speechless! Azalie, I adored both of your looks, and I've already gone online to order a pair of Giallo Positano sandals!! Sammie, you are absolutely darling! I believe there will be a "run" on green spatulas after this post;) Kudos to Kendal for your simple and chic looks!

We are all so lucky to have such lovely ladies, here at Le Salon. Your creativity knows no bounds! Thank you for making my day brighter.....here I go for round 2 of slideshow viewing!!

    1. Yo H-girl (luv your handle--so clever)!!!

Enjoy the slideshows--they were a blast and half to develop w/ LeSalonVert (Kendal's clever name for our little group of 3...and more?)

LOL!!! I do love my green spatula--use it for sauteeing, baking, cleaning out yogurt jars, spanking misbehaving persons (very gently, and clean, w/out cookie dough), and to 'complete' my cooking outfit w/ very little panache!!!

The shoes ain't too shabby either ! @@@ (does that mean, laugh laugh laugh?) ; )

Check out the "Flipcard" view of the slideshows--all are organized behind a "flipcard" which you can see all on one page, and simply click on the show you would like to view, without having to slog through the others back/forth.

Enjoy seeeeeeing greeeeeeeeeeen, H-girl! Have fun on our limb!
