Yesterday I have been running last minute errands in town, and as the mild temperatures continue (DS insisted on wearing a t-shirt) everyone was having their lunch outside in the sun
I have never seen so much foliage still around this time of the year
But with only one little parcel left on DS's advent calender,
and all other preparations finished, Christmas is finally here
earlier this month, the 'delivery boy' brought a wreath
which has been suspended from the kitchen ceiling
while our tree has been patiently waiting outside (we brought it in last night)
all cookies are baked
and decorated
some presents are wrapped
while others look their best without
and with the champagne chilled and the outside lights fixed, we are ready for Christmas.

I, too, am looking forward to seeing what;s int he orange box! Love the wreath suspended from the ceiling - it's gorgeous. It's a lot of work to decorate and bake for the holidays, but it's so worth it to bring the spirit of the season into one's home.
