  12. So well combined, like Michelangelo said - the art is in hand and head of the master, not in single pieces of stone laying around in which the beauty is waiting to be revealed...
Out of curiosity - could you tell us which colour of your scarf fur collar is most difficult and longlasting to obtain? (This bourgogne seems to be so deep, and very "longlasting and hard to obtain", although all scarf fur collars are beautiful and, if studied in depth, there is complexity in all of them, in their very special way...)

    1. Thanks so much, my dearest Lea! I have not heard the quote before.. I love how we bring new things to each other here! There is fundamental truth in the quote, but I find that single pieces of stone are beautiful in themselves too :-) Re the fur colors, it's a close collaboration with the atelier, and many factors play a role. Some custom dyes require an effort of several parties invovled, which is sometimes difficult to repeat.

  13. Stunning! I love the rich colors and textures you have chosen: reds, golds, and burgundy. This collection seems haunted by a Tolstoy-like imagery of furs and rich velvets cast among icy palaces. Breathtaking collection and that fur is now on my Ultimate Wish List!

  14. You are absolutely stunning, my dearest MaiTai! Your luscious fur collar is one of the most beautiful bourgognes I have ever seen, and so spectacular paired with the Damier shawl and bourgogne bangle. Can't think of anything more perfect to follow your lovely Bordeaux post ;-) Wishing you a most wonderful autumn weekend, dear friend. With love and big happy hugs xox

The memories of the recent trip made me look forward to the first cool day, and to indulge in deep reds. Hope you had a most wonderful weekend, and sending you big bordeaux hugs xx

  15. Very charming indeed! After a certain age, I just don't feel like wearing cocktail dresses to cocktail parties anymore, the reason is that I can't walk in high heels anymore (dresses only look good if they are worn with high heels, IMO). Love to hear your ideas on how to dress for a cocktail party wearing pants!

    1. I got out of the habit of wearing high heels a long time ago, and can’t even remember when I last wore a pair! Probably one of the reasons I seldom wear dresses/skirts ;-) Very happy you like the above look... variations of it will be staples in the upcoming holiday season!
