Shopping for Milo!

Ever since my little dachshund Milo came into my life, I've been asked if a dog accessory line will be added to the shop. As much fun as that would be, the many different sizes and shapes that our four-legged friends come in would make it logistically quite a complicated addition (at least for the moment!). So I thought I'd share my favorite finds on the blog instead.

The beautiful items in this post caught my eye years ago, before even thinking of having a dog. When I told the manufacturer that their lovely creations will be featured on the blog, they offered to apply a 20% discount for my dog or cat owner readers (details at the bottom of the post). I am so excited to be able to pass this on, thanks so much again Lord Lou!

I only wish their beautiful pet furniture range would come in human sizes too.

Handing over to Milo:

The size is perfect, and there is still room for me to grow!

But wait... Mum says there is more!

A blanket!

Perfect for hiding

and snoozing

When I got up, Mum said she's got one last thing to show me.

More??? I am already quite happy with what I got!

Ok, ok, I want to know... what could it be!!

Mum explained that winter is coming (not quite sure what 'winter' means!) and that the 'Tom' cushion will keep me very warm and cosy.

Mum is right of course, only that I don't think I'll wait for winter!

Love you Mum!

And because my Mum has a blog and Christmas is coming, Lord Lou offers all of Mum's readers a 20% discount on their pet furniture range and dog and cat accessories.

New generation MaiTai Collection bag inserts!

I am very proud and happy to introduce the new generation of the MaiTai Collection bag inserts today.

To the eye, there has not been much change. They are as exquisitely made and as pretty as always and, of course, they are still made in France by skilled and specialized craftsmen in the fine tradition of French savoir faire.

The innovation of the new generation lies within, invisible to the eye - the insert's construction has been completely reworked. The new generation inserts have a perfect balance between firmness and softness, which means that they are as gentle to the bag as before, but also stay beautifully in shape at the same time.

Light and sturdy, they don't weigh your bag down and keep it in perfect shape.

Because of the new super-light material within the interlining, the insert's sides remain straight even when heavier items are placed into the pockets in an otherwise empty bag.

Fit: The MaiTai Collection inserts are precisely tailored to your bag's size, shape, and proportions:

For Hermes Kelly and Birkin bags: These styles require special consideration, as the end panels fold inward, then the sangles (straps) are pulled and the bag is closed. Our inserts are intentionally a few centimeters shorter to accommodate the folded panels, ensuring a flawless silhouette without bulging and preventing the "bat-wing effect" common with flush-fitting inserts for these bag styles:

For all other types of bags (e.g., Lindy, Bolide, Picotin, etc): Our purse organizer inserts fit snugly and without gaps. The fit is smooth, supportive, and glove-like:

Every aspect of the design is thought out with the protection of your bag in mind. The corners and edges are soft, and the seams and pockets are inward-facing so that nothing risks marking or pressing against the leather of your precious bag.

There is no harsh plastic or cardboard sheeting, which could force the leather against its natural movement or make your bag look boxy (I firmly believe that inserts should not be used as a 'shaper' to force slouchy bags upright, and that rigid inserts risk causing irreparable damage to your bag). The inserts are still incredibly light - from 45g for the smallest to 230g for the largest.
